PRESS RELEASE: New Chef Alvaro Jimenez introduces new spring menu, plans variety of cooking classes and other events.

Palizo Italiano recently hired Alvaro Jimenez as Executive Chef for our authentic Northern Italian restaurant located on historic South Pearl Street in Denver’s Platt Park neighborhood. In addition to introducing the new Spring 2018 menu, Chef Alvaro has plans to teach cooking classes and host other special events at the restaurant.

Alvaro Jimenez brings over two decades of culinary experience to his role as Executive Chef at Palizo Italiano. Growing up on a family farm in Costa Rica, Chef Alvaro developed a passion for learning about and preparing food at a young age. His experience includes working in fine dining restaurants and high-end private catering companies in Pennsylvania, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and California, as well as Colorado.

Chef Alvaro’s career experience includes teaching private cooking classes for Microsoft executives and serving as a personal chef for high-profile clients in West Hollywood, California.

“I am thrilled to accept the position of Executive Chef at Palizo Italiano after serving as sous-chef since August, 2017,” said Jimenez. “I’ve enjoyed applying my creativity to the new spring menu, as well as creating themes and lessons for our upcoming cooking classes and Chef’s Table events.”

The first cooking class, centered around pasta-making, is already full. Chef Alvaro also plans to revitalize Palizo Italiano’s Chef’s Table events to accommodate more guests and incorporate patio seating for the event when weather permits.
